The headline is simple: Corn based Ethanol causes more environmental problems than it solves and is nothing more than a Trojan Horse for the same lobbyists and private interest groups that have subsidized corn production in this country since the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1933.
In and of itself, Ethanol is a viable tool for reducing dependence on petroleum. However, the United States is heavily invested in Ethanol made from corn (as opposed to the significantly more benign Cellulosic Ethanol)
You can pretty much assume we are in real trouble when a major automotive manufacturer rolls out a multi-million dollar campaign – complete with Superbowl commercial – to promote the ‘Live Green – Go Yellow’ message.
